Infusion Enchantment is a research option found under the Artifice tab that becomes unlocked for research after researching Elemental Tools. Infusion Enchantment, as the name implies, allows for the use of Infusion to bestow a select, but powerful, few enchantments on any item to which they are applicable, as some enchantments can only be applied to certain tools. There is a drawback to the enchanting, however; for enchantments with multiple levels, the cost per level is the original cost in Essentia multiplied by the level being applied. In addition to this, every enchantment, under this category, will increase the cost of adding another enchantment by 33%, along with increasing the chance of applying the Warping property to the item. In addition to this, enchantments can be expensive, costing enchanted books and Knowledge Fragments, both of which can be annoying or difficult to create or to find. Because all tools use the two former items. only the item unique to each recipe will be listed below. In addition to this, every Infusion recipe is of Moderate Instability as well and all abilities, as with the Elemental Tools that came before it, can be suppressed by sneaking.

Refining[]

Applicable Tools: pickaxe

Levels: 4

Essentia Cost: 16 Ordo and 12 Permutatio

Unique Item: Salis Mundus

Effects: Whenever a player breaks a piece of collectible ore (I.e. iron or gold), that ore has a chance to drop a Native Cluster, with every extra level of the enchantment added increasing the chance. One can, however, simply place down and break ore pieces that did not drop as Clusters until they all have. This method can quickly destroy pickaxes without the Repair enchantment or those made of metals other than Void Metal.

Sounding[]

Applicable Tools: pickaxe

Levels: 4

Essentia Cost: 12 Ignis and 8 Sensus

Unique Item: empty map

Effects: Right clicking on any surface will create, within an area determined by the level of the enchantment, glowing orbs, which can be seen through blocks, on every type of ore or crystal within that area. This helps one to seek out precious minerals and Vis Crystals, and can be especially helpful in caves or any underground area. However, every time this ability is used, the tool takes some damage, making the optimal conditions for its use the same as those for the Refining enchantment, with these enchantments working well together for avid miners.

Destructive[]

Applicable Tools: axe, pickaxe, shovel

Levels: 1

Essentia Cost: 64 Perditio and 48 Aversio

Unique Item: TNT

Effects: Whenever this too is used to break its intended type of block, all of the 8 blocks surrounding it, if they can also be harvested by the tool being used, will be broken as well. However, the tool still takes all the damage it would have breaking them one at a time. Because of this, it is recommend to have the Unbreaking enchantment on any tool before applying this enchantment, along with the Repair enchantment or simply placing the Unbreaking enchantment along with this one on a Void Metal tool, as is usually recommended.
