Arcane stone is both an inherently unlocked research option under the Artifice tab, and a block. Arcane stone cannot be found naturally throughout the world, but is instead created by surrounding any Vis shard in an Arcane Workbench with 8 pieces of stone, along with 5 Terra and Ignis vis, creating 9 Arcane Stone blocks. Arcane stone can be worked similarly to normal stone, being able to be crafted into stairs, slabs, and even bricks, and is also aesthetically pleasing. However, the main use of Arcane Stone is in the crafting of an Infusion Altar, and in several different crafting recipes
